Lace Knitting

Because of the Yarn Harlot, I have discovered the wonders and frustrations of lace knitting. I took a class at Lacis in Berkeley for introductory lace knitting. Here's a photograph of the completed, but unblocked project:

After laying a towel down on the carpet (to faciliate blocking, a process which reduces the knitter to a posture very much like this), I painstakingly pinned out all the little loops. After blocking, it looked like this:

It's so pretty and airy and drapey and light!
