For Zuvia, With Love
Only for Zuvia (pronounced Subia, for the Spanishly challenged) would I knit this:
Zuvia has been bothering me for a knit thong since about December. I knew it wouldn't take long to knit (there's nothing to knit!) so I kinda... procrastinated. Until mid-May. I had the pattern picked out not long after the request, though! And I also had leftover yarn from the Angel's Rest Socks, which worked out perfectly.
I think her hip-measurement is 33.5"... I made the 32" version because I figured the 35" would be waaaaay too big. Here's hoping it fits!
I held up my end of the deal. Now Zuvia gets to wear it to school! (Over a pair of tights, of course, silly. We're not so crass.)
Edited to add: I forgot the boring stats!
Pattern: Lacy Thong from Interweaveknits.com
Yarn: Left-overs from the Lorna's Laces yarn used to make the Angel's Rest Socks
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch, 6 rows per inch
Needles: US 9, Addi Natura circulars, 24"
Start Date: May 10, 2007, 10am.
End Date: May 10, 2007, 2:45pm PS: It took forever to get the photo rotated properly. Not only are the tubes 95% clogged (someone clearly needs to buy more lotto tickets), but I had to download/install Active X Control. Or something. The internet has been bothering me since I got my laptop back to download. I just ignore it, albeit commenting on the promiscuous nature of its mother. PPS: I would like everyone to note that those picots are not knitted. I crocheted them. I feel dirty. I need to knit some more socks.
