UFO Update

I got my invitation to Ravelry the other day, so I've been adding/updating my list of UFOs and FOs to their site. (Ravelry is nifty, by the way.) Since I just happen to have photographs of my current UFOs, I should share them with you.

First, we have the April/May Rockin' Sock Club installment, "Knee High to a Grasshopper." I'm planning on making them knee-highs, or however high half the skein will get me.

Next, we have Tailored Scallops, from Lace Style by Pam Allen and Ann Budd. I'm knitting a sleeve first, because I intensely dislike gauge swatches and I don't want to knit them after the front(s) and back have been knit. It looks really bad and lumpy right now, but it will be better after it's blocked. I hope.

Last on our current UFO agenda is a Jaywalker sock. Jaywalker is a free pattern from Grumperina, offered on the MagKnits website. I originally worked the "normal" toe, but the Normal Toe Knitting Gods must have it out for me, because they always turn out square. (Go see the Angel's Rest socks for an example.) I ripped it out and did a short-row toe before, a la Claudia. I haven't tried this method yet, so we'll see how that grafting works out. I hope it isn't noticeable, since the grafting is on the sole of the foot.

I forgot to take a picture of CMR's finished hedgehog. It's now living with her, so if she could pretty please take a picture of her finished hedgehog for me, I'll make a post just for it. :) For now, though, a picture of the eyeless (and therefore soulless) hedgehog.

regarding the soulless hedgehog ... that's why God made Paint Shop Pro (or Photoshop) .. to put eyeballs on soulless hedgehogs when the knitter forgot to take a picture when it was finished. :-)
